Edge a Little Closer (written by Stewart Cunningham) I’ll edge closer to you If that’s what you want me to do Edging closer to you Well you wanted the truth You wanted the truth Yeah I’ll give it to you You want me to edge a little closer Edge a little closer to you I see that look in your eyes It gives away what you hide I can’t control myself I’m moving closer to you Yer acting so smooth Like you know what to do You want me to edge a little closer Edge a little closer to you

You Wear It Well (Written by Rod Stewart/Martin Quittenton) I had nothing to do on this hot afternoon but to settle down and write you a line I've been meaning to phone you but from Minnesota hell it's been a very long time You wear it well A little old fashioned but that's all right Well I suppose you're thinking I bet he's sinking or he wouldn't get in touch with me Oh I ain't begging or losing my head I sure do want you to know that you wear it well There ain't a lady in the land so fine Remember them basement parties, your brother's karate the all day rock and roll shows Them homesick blues and radical views haven't left a mark on you, you wear it well A little out of time but I don't mind But I ain't forgetting that you were once mine but I blew it without even tryin' Now I'm eatin' my heart out tryin' to get a letter through Since you've been gone it's hard to carry on I'm gonna write about the birthday gown that I bought in town when you sat down and cried on the stairs You knew it did not cost the earth, but for what it's worth You made me feel a millionaire and you wear it well Madame Onassis got nothing on you Anyway, my coffee's cold and I'm getting told that I gotta get back to work So when the sun goes low and you're home all alone think of me and try not to laugh and I wear it well I don't object if you call collect 'cos I ain't forgetting that you were once mine but I blew it without even tryin' Now I'm eatin' my heart out tryin' to get back to you After all the years I hope it's the same address Since you've been gone it's hard to carry on

Fourteen (written by Stewart Cunningham) When you’re 14 years old life doesn’t mean a thing When you’re 14 you don’t think what the future will bring You got your favorite shirt, a bicycle and a backyard swing When you’re 14 the girl around the corner doesn’t mean a thing It’s a beautiful thing When you’re 14 – your riding up the hill You gonna meet your friends after school You’ve always got some time to kill You want more than the world will give you You settle for Saturday Anything can happen on Saturday When You’re 14 years old Gonna head down the pinball parlour See if there’s some free games left on the machines I heard they got a new game - it’s called space invaders Heard some kids talking bout it on the bus. On the way home from school Sounded pretty cool - sounds really cool Well your 14 years old starting fires and sleeping in tents When you’re 14, you tape your brothers records on to cassettes When you’re 14 - you try to runaway you don’t like authority - don’t like authority And now you don’t even like your dad, or the fun that you once had You still remember all those days when he took you far away Who’s to say he might happen again might take you down to the sea Could happen any day, might happen this Saturday Who’s to say – well who’s to say. When you’re 14 years old Que sera sera sera sera

Baby, Lets Twist (written by Adny Shernoff) Well she used to be lonely But she ain't anymore She’s a teenage madonna But now her clothes are all torn She's got red lips, red lips She's got blood on her fingertips She's got red lips, red lips But they ain't the kind you wanna kiss She looks for love Where the sun never shines She's crying I'm so strange, I am so strange Baby, let's twist, baby let's twist Baby, let's twist, baby let's twist I need love; one, two, three Cause I can't fit in society So baby, let's twist A safety pin in her earlobe A tattoo on her thigh It's a funky situation And a treat for the eye She's got red lips, red lips She's got blood on her fingertips She's got red lips, red lips But they ain't the kind you wanna kiss She looks for love Where the sun never shines ... She's crying I'm so strange I'm so strange, She says Baby, let's twist, baby let's twist Baby, let's twist, baby let's twist I need love; one, two, three Cause I can't fit in society

Cruel City 04:34
Cruel City (written by Stewart Cunningham) Have you ever seen the sun shine clear like this, I have no pity The rats like to hide when it’s all so bright But I have seen what’s really inside Have you ever seen the night sky clear and cool It hides a cruel city Cruel city can you look at me You wanna know the truth it can set you free Well come and see me I’ll tell you ….It’s a cruel city, cruel cruel city You tried so hard to get a break in this place You get nothing then they spit in your face You spend your whole life living here and now you may as well be living in outer space Two faced people who don’t really care There’s no honour in Tarrawanna Don’t fall for the cruel cruel city You’re coming last in the human race You’re coming last! I survive your demise I survive and your decline Is the price for your crime I survive, I will survive Your decline…. your demise It hasn’t always been this way Poison in the heart and a vacuum in the brain I’m here to tell you that it’s a tricky game Keep your wits about you or you’ll end up in the drain Cruel city, it’s just the same They wanna see you fail they like it that way Cruel city is a twisted place Cruel city is a fuckin shame Now you wanna runaway

Hacemos La Musica (written by Stewart Cunningham) We make the music, we make the music (sotto) We are the music makers (high sotto) We are the music makers We are the dreamers of the dreams We are the real deal We are the players of strings We make the music – we take the songs I saw a shooting star I didn't know what to wish for All part of my life as a fake All part of this great charade I saw a shooting star – I didn’t know what to wish for All part of my life as a fake I live this life as a great charade You’re all part of my life as a fake We’re all human failures - We are all music makers We make the music – we take the songs We make the music – we take it on

about

While we were on tour in Europe in 2017, we made a quick recording on a day off in Spain. This recording is out now as a 6 song EP called ‘La Banda en Espana”…and for a short time, available here as a free download.

It’s a really kicking rock release that includes a couple of killer covers we were playing live and updated versions of some older songs...track 2 is a killer version of Rod Stewart’s “You Wear it Well” - a live favourite in recent years. Opening song is an updated version of a song Stew wrote back in his days with Asteroid B-612...and there is also a very cool dirty rock’n’roll version of our 'folk' classic “Fourteen” from the We Make the Music album. Enjoy. thanks for listening.
