You’re So Strange (Written by Stewart Cunningham) Won’t ya Slow Down I’m tired of chasing you around I’m glad I don’t have to now Yeah I don’t have to now You’re so strange, in every way When I met you on that fateful day Everybody said the same You better look out boy She’s gonna make you her toy She was so strange, but I couldn’t stay away I kept on chasing her around She kept on dragging the whole thing out She was so strange When we were together, she was always in a rush I liked the silence and the feel, she always had to push Then I was down and out, she found me out Digging a bigger hole, diggin a deeper hole You’re so Strange in every way But I’m lucky she like’s it that way You’re So Strange in Every way You’re so strange but I like you that way You’re so strange, yeah I chased you around I couldn’t stay away You’re so strange, but I like you that way Won’t you slow down Yeah I kept on chasing her around She kept on dragging the whole thing out You’re so strange in every way ….yeah I like you that way.

Cruel City 03:58
Cruel City (Written by Stewart Cunningham) Have you ever seen the sun shine clear like this, I have no pity The rats like to hide when it’s all so bright But I have seen what’s really inside Have you ever seen the night sky clear and cool It hides a cruel city Cruel city can you look at me You wanna know the truth it can set you free Well come and see me I’ll tell you ….It’s a cruel city, cruel cruel city You tried so hard to get a break in this place You get nothing then they spit in your face You spend your whole life living here and now you may as well be living in outer space Two faced people who don’t really care There’s no honour in Tarrawanna Don’t fall for the cruel cruel city You’re coming last in the human race You’re coming last! I survive your demise I survive and your decline Is the price for your crime I survive, I will survive Your decline…. your demise It hasn’t always been this way Poison in the heart and a vacuum in the brain I’m here to tell you that it’s a tricky game Keep your wits about you or you’ll end up in the drain Cruel city, it’s just the same They wanna see you fail they like it that way Cruel city is a twisted place Cruel city is a fuckin shame Now you wanna runaway

The Lonely Road (Written by Stewart Cunningham) You’re walking on lonely road Won’t let no one help you share the load I can see you walking all alone A lonely shadow walking in the cold, Walking alone You put yourself on that lonely road Now you’re sitting in some foreign bar The place is full of people, you don’t know who they are You head up to your hotel room Sittin’ there in your lonely gloom You spent too long on this lonely road You’re walking on a lonely road Won’t let no one help you share the load Woe oh oh that lonely road No direction – just keep on walking on You just keep walking on You won’t open up to anyone You can’t escape this lonely road I am not alone You find yourself in that broken woe Sittin’ in your room, staring at the TV glue Your only friend’s a guitar and your favourite tunes You can hear the people singing down the hall And you ask yourself How did I end up on this lonely road? You can’t escape this lonely road

Wandering Man (Written by Stewart Cunningham) Like a Gypsy, I was born in a Caravan My good luck, to be born a simple wandering man Turn myself inside out, twisting on a roundabout Looking for an easy way out, head off on a walkabout I found out, what it’s all about Hear the people shout Here comes a wandering man Don’t try to understand just keep a wondering Here comes a wandering man Like a Hobo, I was born by the side of the road My bad luck to be born in such a miserable hole Turn myself inside out, twisting on the roundabout Looking for an easy way out, head off on walkabout I found out, what it’s all about Hear the children shout A house ain’t a home, when you’re alone A house ain’t a home, when you’re alone I wanna roam

Dammit Call me up, tell me what’s going on Dammit Call me up, tell me what’s going on I heard you been caught up messing round with the other ones Dammit Call me up, tell me what’s going on Jackie called me up late last night She told me a little about what’s going on Something about the police, drugs and a girl She said you got caught messing round with the other ones Police knocked on my door at 6 am …again! They wouldn’t tell me what’s been going on. Can you call me up tell me what’s going on Dammit Call me up tell me what’s going on We heard you got caught messin round with the other ones Dammit Call me up tell me what’s going on

No Room at the Inn (Written by Stewart Cunningham) There’s no room at the inn They won’t let these boys in We can write em tunes we can sing any songs But theres no room at the Inn I knocked on the front door And I rapped on the window pane But there’s no room at the Inn I can’t even break my way in I’d like to kick that door in No room at the Inn So I went round the back door And I begged on the kitchen hand Please throw me some bones, do anything you can Be he would not let me in…. He said take your songs home Don’t come round here no more You wouldn’t fit in…No room at the Inn So I hit the dusty back roads of old On my way I never struck any gold Found myself stuck in many a hole But the people told me wherever I roamed You got something man, don’t give up the ghost You got something man ….more precious than gold Don’t give up the ghost Now twenty years on They still won’t let me in I can see in the window, I hear laughter and gin I’d like to kick that door in But time’s moved me on And I found treasure and gold On the backstreets of Rome I made them my home, I made them my home So I hit the dusty back roads of old Found myself stuck in many a hole On my way I never struck any gold But the people they told me wherever I roamed You got something man, don’t give up the ghost You got something man, that’s never been told You got something man, don’t sell em your soul You got something man ...more precious than gold Don’t give up the ghost

Don’t Think Twice (Written by Stewart Cunningham) Gotta think twice it’s alright Don’t think twice Just do it tonight Pick up that guitar Don’t have to take it too far Make things better for a little while Just do it tonight – makes it alright Do it tonight, don’t think twice Do it tonight I can stay at home and it’s alright I can stay at home and do it another night Staying inside where it’s safe and warm I don’t wanna go out If I don’t wanna go it’s not my show But on my shoulders There’s always an excuse to do it another time Don’t thing twice Don’t think twice, just do it tonight Don’t think twice, do it alright Pick up that guitar Don’t have to take it too far Going out alone but it’s alright It’s alright – I’ll do it tonight And it makes no difference if anybody really knows Maybe it’s alright, maybe don’t think twice Tomorrow never ever comes Your better off doing it tonight. Don’t think Twice, just do it tonight And it makes no difference if anybody really knows Do it tonight

about

No Room at the Inn was originally released on the legendary Citadel Record label back in 2013. It is a fantastic and diverse collection featuring some of our best songwriting. However we were long dissatisfied with the audio quality & mix of the album so with the ten year anniversary looming it was decided to fix that mistake and give the album the polish and audio love that the songs deserved.

This new 10 Year Anniversary release of No Room at the Inn has been totally remixed & remastered by the same team (Brent Clark/Mixing and Kathy Naunton/Mastering) that worked on our 2022 Silver & Black album and along with a little editing and reworking it now sounds how as heavy and powerful as it always should have.
